Our employees are as passionate about the work they do as we are, which is why we strive to foster a supportive work culture that gives them the space to build successful careers.A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Supervised Visitation SpecialistAs a professional on our Visitation and Parenting Team, you play an essential role in providing supervised visitation services and support to area parents who are working to be reunified with their children. You work directly with children, families, and adults who are overcoming obstacles in their lives, working to bounce back from poor choices or circumstances and looking to improve their overall parenting skills and the positive role they take in the development of their children. You would be responsible for providing transportation for children going to scheduled visits and at the end of those visits with the families you are assigned to. Visitation services are conducted in the parent(s) homes, at our Family Service Center site in Louisville or in some cases other approved community sites. A typical supervised visit will last around 1.5 to 2 hours. Transportation provided by you for these visits could last anywhere between 30 minutes and 2 hours, on average. You will deliver these services utilizing trauma-informed, culturally competent, evidence-based practices and policies that provide the best possible outcome for the children and parents on your caseload. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A Supervised Visitation Specialist
- Bachelor's degree required; training and experience in supervised visitation services or related services desirable.
- Experience working with children in a care-giving role required.
- Must be able to lift and carry children and car seats up to 10 pounds
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have own transportation. Vehicle must be equipped with seat belts and in good repair and must meet the local standards for children under four years of age or under 40 pounds.
- Must have valid driver's license, current registration, and proof of insurance on vehicle being used.
- Must consent to a check of his/her driving record annually; excellent driving record required, including no record of impaired driving.
- Auto liability coverage of $100,000/$300,000 is required.
