Job Summary: Works under limited supervision to direct the planning, development, operation and promotion of the department. Assumes direct responsibilities for personnel management, expense controls, new service development and performance improvement. Provides group therapy and case management services within the program structure. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment. Job Requirements:Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Master's Degree: Preferred
  • Five years' clinical admissions experience: Preferred
  • Unit charge nurse experience: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
  • CA Licensure: RN or LCSW: Required
  • HI Licensure: RN or LSW: Required
Facility Specific License/Certifications:
  • Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required
Essential Functions:
  • Provides day to day supervision including overview of assignments, prioritization of staff duties, monitoring of timeliness and appropriateness of responses to requests for records information.
  • Gathers and processes patient referral information including insurance verification in coordination with business associates, pre-admission review for medical necessity, preliminary discharge planning and the coordination of admissions. Consults with all necessary members of the multi-disciplinary treatment team to fulfill these responsibilities.
  • Develops, maintains and processes documentation and records as required and directed.
  • Coordinates payroll timekeeping functions for assigned departments. Provides back up for payroll timekeeping functions other departments in their absence.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
