Coordinates the daily operations of the department functions and assures instrument and equipment processing including; cleaning and decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and distribution to the patient care givers. Supervises employees and serves the customer as a resource to service problems and/or questions.
Eligible candidates will be offered a sign-on bonus of $5,000

+ Collaborate with the manager ensuring quality of care of the Central Sterile Processing by implementing, communicating, and/or developing philosophies of standards of care; enforcing adherence to organization, departmental or outside, regulatory body requirements.
+ Serve as a role model of excellent customer service by responding constructively to the needs of all those interacted with on a daily basis.
+ Support the departmental goals of quality service, system improvement, and cost containment by contributing to the successful implementation of recommended departmental changes.
+ Ensure a fully qualified and competent workgroup by coaching, scheduling, motivating, and assisting in the development of the employees in Central Sterile Processing.
+ Participate in preparation of staff annual evaluation documents.
+ Sterilize and process equipment/instruments by adhering to departmental standards, professional regulations, and policies and procedures.
+ High School Graduate or equivalent.
+ 3 years experience in central sterile processing.
+ 2 years supervisory or team leader experience required.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with peers, physicians, staff of other hospital departments, and outside contacts.
+ Must complete 10 hours of continuing education to remain qualified as a Central Sterile Technician on an annual basis. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
+ Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution OR Certified Registered Central Service Technician OR International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management
