Under the direction of the Public Safety Manager ,Communications Center. Supervise the switchboard operators, dispatchers, oversee daily functions; paging, emergency calls, monitor equipment, pager exchanges and on-call schedules. Maintain pager inventory and staffing schedule. Update facility directories annual. Liaison with paging vendor. Additional duties as required.

Oversees daily operations of switchboard operators; dispatchers, paging, emergency calls, monitoring, on-call schedule and patient information - 40% Maintain staffing schedule & process payroll - 20% Maintain pager inventory & provide pager exchanges. Liaison with paging vendor - 10% Establish & enforce work standards & quality improvement goals - 5% Develop and maintain policies and procedures - 5% Evaluate staff's performance & provide feedback - 5% Interview candidates for openings and make hiring recommendations. Oversee training of new hires & provide orientation - 5% Administer performance evaluations and disciplinary actions - 5% Update facility & staff directories annually - 5% | Review the physical demands and assign an overall average percentage of time this position performs these activities. Associate's degree

APCO certified within 1 year of employment.
