Job Description:
General SummaryResponsible for the implementation and supervision of the procedures and operations for the assigned departments within the Distribution Center.Essential FunctionsMay supervise various departments within the distribution center including, but not limited to: Picking, Parts, and Shipping & Receiving; monitor workflow and production for assigned areasBased on assigned areas, may be responsible for ensuring products and parts are inventoried, ordered, received, picked, and checked on a regular basisManage team members including employees functioning as Assistant Supervisors, Lead Clerks, Clerks, and temporary personnelWork closely with other departments in the Distribution Center & Customer Service to ensure on time delivery, accuracy, and customer satisfactionSupervise directly and/or through subordinates all activities associated with providing sales rep order service from order through deliveryResponsible for recommending annual objectives and profit planMaintain area-specific logs and reports; help monitor and control distribution costsResponsible for planning inventory levels on a product-by-product basis that ensures proper customer service levels while optimizing economical transportation methodsManage import and export logistics for frames, cases, and POP being shipped to and from vendors and distribution centers globallyMonitor hours worked, provide coaching and performance reviews for team members and temporary personnelSupervise team member's attendance records and schedule, and ensure that the department is properly staffed at all timesInterview for open positions as neededEnsure team members receive appropriate programs to develop technical and leadership skills, thereby stimulating personal growth and development of subordinatesMake recommendations and as appropriate, implement improvements in policies and procedures for handling, packaging, and warehousing, and keep abreast of new equipment and technological developments in areas associated with operations being directedEstablish and maintain working relationships with key personnel and communicate with internal and external clients as neededAdminister company safety program and take timely corrective action to prevent injury and destruction of company propertyAssist other teams in completing special projects, or time-sensitive tasks as neededPerform all duties as assignedJob SpecificationsTypically has the following skills or abilities:Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a business-related environmentStrong computer skills required; Working knowledge of AS400 or SAP preferredExcellent interpersonal communication skills requiredExcellent project management skills and experience managing large projects required. Must be able to prioritize workExcellent organizational skills, detailed oriented and able to multitaskMust be able to work accurately and safely under pressureOvertime and weekend hours maybe requiredTravel domestic and internationalWorking Conditions / Physical DemandsThis position generally works in a warehouse environment.While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to:
  • Speak clearly and concisely
  • Hear clearly to understand general conversations in person, over the telephone and in large groups
  • Use hands to manipulate objects and paperwork
  • Use close vision and be able to focus
  • Sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Safely walk in warehouse environment including moving around equipment and shipping materials
  • Walk between buildings in varying weather conditions
  • Lift boxes and packages up to 75lbs.
  • Travel by car for significant distances and airplane in varying weather conditions

Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
