Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. Millions of people around the world count on our leading brands - including Similac, PediaSure, Pedialyte, Ensure, and Glucerna - to help them get the nutrients they need to live their healthiest lives.What You'll Work On* Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system, warehouse management system, and other applicable systems.* Deploy over $150,000,000 of Abbott finished products to Abbott customers and other distribution centers.* Provide support to all manufacturing centers in the Altavista plant including but not limited to the 8oz and 13oz can filling lines, Tetra, RPB, Pedialyte, RTH, and CAM.* Monitor and regulate the operations of both the onsite and offsite distribution centers.* Ensure that all inbound finished product loads are received in a timely and accurate manner.* Develop and implement department procedures to comply with all Abbott, FDA, OSHA, and any other governing body, guidelines.* Effectively utilize the resources of non-exempt employees.* Develop an atmosphere that encourages the open exchange of ideas and knowledge with a focus on continuous improvement and root cause analysis.* Effectively utilize all capital resources.* Provide customer service to both internal and external customers through accurate order processing, customized packaging, and timely delivery and receipt of finished products and services.* Speed allocations and deployment decisions through implementation and effective utilization of technology support systems.* Create, promote, and maintain a safe work environment.Required Qualifications* Bachelor's degree - Business Materials Management, Business Management, Industrial Engineering preferred or equivalent work experience.* Knowledge of Distribution* 2 years Inventory Management Warehouse Management Purchasing PlanningPreferred Qualifications* APICS certification desired* Prior Supervisory experience desirable.In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
