Supervisor Imaging Services Job Code: 28863 Position SummaryDirects and oversees day-to-day activities and staff in Imaging (CT, Radiology, MRI and Ultrasound). Responsible for staffing schedules, daily staffing assignments, orientation of new staff members and continuing educational programs. Responsibilities•Acts as a clinical resource for team in daily problem solving•Performs imaging studies within area of oversight as needed•Mentors new employees•Participates in Regulatory Compliance training and activities•Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement projects•Ensures compliance with established regulations and standards including quality improvement projects, quality assurance, and confidentiality and documentation•Maintains technical expertise and competency to operate equipment for departmental coverage needs •Covers for other areas within Imaging Services department in absence of supervisor as needed•Performs annual performance evaluations, coaching and counseling•Performs other related duties as assigned•Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field •Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals•Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function•Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned Requirements and Minimum Qualifications•Graduate of an accredited college in area of oversight with credentialing in one of the following required:•CT: Graduate of an accredited college in Radiologic Technology or US Military equivalent required and ARRT Registered required as well as CT Certification from ARRT•Radiology: Graduate of an accredited college in Radiologic Technology or US Military equivalent and ARRT Registered required•MRI: Graduate of an accredited college or technical school in Radiologic Technology and ARRT Registered required as well as MRI Certification from ARRT•Ultrasound: Graduate of an accredited college in Ultrasound required and ARDMS credentialed in RDMS and RVT and at least one additional corresponding specialty exam•NM/PET: Graduate of an accredited college or technical school in Radiologic Technology and ARRT Registered required as well as Nuclear Medicine Certification from ARRT or NMTCB•Bachelor degree preferred•Minimum 3 years' experience in area of oversight•Previous leadership experience preferred•Ability to use a computer and department specific software and EHR programs•BLS required Working Conditions•Must be able to maintain a sitting position•Must be able to maintain a standing position•Must be able to stoop or crouch•Typical equipment used in a clinical job•Must be able to reach arms above or below shoulder height•Must be able to move or traverse with/without accommodation•Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
