General Purpose
The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for maintaining inventory system accuracy, data integrity, local level audit controls and inventory levels (DSI) to prevent product and/or raw material out-of-stocks.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members.
* Manage and supervise daily counts of full goods. Supervise weekly counts of ancillary items.
* Manage & review labor and OPEZ budget.
* Assist in reconciliation of inventory variances of full goods/ancillary items.
* Review/research status of Open Purchase Orders & Inter-branch Transfers.
* Review and approve inventory reconciliation reports.
* Review/Audit product movement within facilities, i.e. check out/in procedures, breakage write-off process, and product recover/destruction process.
* Review daily product disposition reports.
* Review/Report control failures to Plant Manager for immediate course correction.
* Review/Certify Sarbanes Oxley controls.
* Foster/Maintain open communication with employees, internal and external customers.
* Report any short-dated product to local sales and Warehouse Manager.
* Review Day Supply reports for out of stock risks and communicate to Planning and Management.
* Actively drives Good Manufacturing practices that meet company standards.
* Ensure compliance with all Company Safety policies and standards, ensuring proper attire and PPE are worn. Responsible for enforcing all company policies, regulations and holding regular safety meetings to communicate safety awareness and policies.
* Manage overall package and product quality to ensure all standards and specifications.
* Collaborates with other departments (e.g., Risk Management, Internal Audit, Employee Services, Human Resources, etc.) to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution. Consults with other functions as needed to resolve difficult issues.
* Participation in project work and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: Must have a minimum of 2-3 years warehouse/inventory experience. SAP Inventory Management preferred. Must have production and/or warehouse experience in an inventory environment; as a lead person or equivalent in a production and/or warehouse operation. Experience supervising an inventory team strongly preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred. Must be proficient in all MS Office applications. Strong interpersonal skills needed. Must be flexible to work various shifts.
