Work Shift: Night Shift Time Type: Full time Department: CC014090 Lab - Hematology Summary: M-F 10:30p-7a, $10K Sign On Plans and supervises the activities of the clinical laboratory including testing, leadership, technical assistance and training of employees while ensuring compliance with quality assurance and record keeping standards. Additional Information:Required Education: Bachelor's Degree Recommended Education:Required Work Experience: Related Field - 4 years with 1 year of leadership experience Recommended Work Experience:Required Certifications: 1 of the following certifications is required - Recommended Certifications: Medical Technologist (MT-AMT) - American Medical Technologists (AMT), Medical Technologist (MT-ASCP) - American Society for Clinical Pathology, Medical Technologist (MT-NCA) - American Society for Clinical Pathology Description 1. Supervises all testing performed including workflow, personnel scheduling, training, testing priorities, quality assurance activities, productivity monitoring and communicating results. 2. Coordinates inspections. i.e. CAP inspection. 3. Supervises personnel and conduct HR activities. 4. Performs laboratory procedures with accuracy and precision in assigned laboratory areas with minimum supervision. 5. Performs laboratory activities, calculate, transcribe and record test results referring appropriate results. 6. Correlates results with diagnosis in order to determine validity of results recognizing normal vs abnormal results, communicating and documenting critical values to the appropriate individual. 7. Manages specimens throughout the entire analytical and reporting process. 8. Assumes responsibility for workflow, inventory management and assistance of laboratory personnel. 9. Performs other duties as assigned.
