SUMMARYThe Maintenance Supervisor will coordinate shop operations in a proficient manner, regularly inspect sites, execute work as necessary, maintain equipment, and delegate work. The Maintenance Supervisor is expected to communicate issues and concerns to the Maintenance Manager to ensure that highest standard of operations without interruption.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance
- Trains, schedules, and manage the performance of the mechanics to ensure the maintenance goals are being met
- Implements preventative maintenance programs and schedules to ensure that the company assets are preserved and in good repair
- Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Work with managers and CDL Drivers to diagnose wear and existing problems, and to forecast pending problems with equipment and rolling stock
- Perform inspections to observe the use and daily maintenance of equipment and rolling stock
- Provide instruction to equipment operators, mechanics and drivers regarding daily maintenance requirements when deficiencies are noted
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma required; some college or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience
- Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to read technical manuals
- Strong ability to multitask
- Skill in repair of special purpose equipment, ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks
- Ability to diagnose defects in and repair a variety of equipment and vehicles
- Ability to utilize a preventive maintenance software
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to safely operate a company owned vehicle
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
COMPUTER
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office with emphasis on MS Excel
- Experience with Manager+ preferred
