Job Summary and QualificationsThe Cardiopulmonary Supervisor is responsible for the performance of the cardiopulmonary staff and ensures procedures and policies are met in full accordance. Strict interdepartmental development and interpersonal skills are required to effectively provide the leadership and support to maintain working relationships within the various departments of the hospital. You will be responsible for assisting the Director in orientating new employees as well as the education and skills competency determination. You will also assist with yearly evaluations of current staff, performance improvement, scheduling, and special projects. You will perform critical and non-critical respiratory care procedures through both physician directives and Respiratory Care Protocols.
You will coordinate provision of Respiratory Care Services with other medical functions and serve as a technical resource for department personnel.
You will be responsible for the efficient operation of the department and optimum use of resources to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
You will constantly evaluate and monitor services to assure quality care to the patient.
You may take on patient assignments, as needed.
