Within the Catalent network, we offer a broad range of integrated formulation and analytical services to solve difficult development and manufacturing challenges.The Packaging Supervisor provides general leadership and tactical supervision to the Packaging production team. The Packaging Supervisor ensures that safety and quality standards are realized while aggressively executing against productivity targets.Working Hours: Weekend PM (Friday-Sunday 6 PM-6:30 AM)Catalent is committed to a Patient First culture through excellence in quality and compliance, and to the safety of every patient, consumer and Catalent employee.The Role
  • Oversees and directs the planning and execution of daily production within the Packaging department.
  • Ensures that any changes in processes or procedures are properly communicated and trained against.
  • Directs and manages the Packaging team to improve performance through continuous improvement methodology and utilizes problem analysis tools to reduce unscheduled downtime, minor equipment stops, breakdowns, process upsets, material quality losses.
  • Oversees sanitation processes related to equipment and facility.
  • Serves as the primary training coordinator, ensuring adequate time and resources to ensure successful training of team members.
  • Tracks, reports, and posts efficiency, reliability and productivity performance of each machine within the department.
  • Other duties as assigned.
The Candidate
  • HS Diploma or Equivalent Required.
  • Five (5) or more years' experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Five (5) or more years' supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving/process improvement skills. Strong leadership skills with an ability to build trust, provide direction, and execute with excellence. Strong foundation in interpersonal communication concepts, specifically; written, oral, presentation, listening, and facilitation skills.
  • Knowledge of machinery consistent with packaging operations.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of ERP systems and related activities.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
