Prepares, monitors, records and reports information regarding department performance and progress. Complete understanding of warehouse management systems and SS/Inbound/Picking operationsResponsibilitiesEssential Functions & Accountabilities:
  • Oversees team of inventory control and Inbound operations employees.
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient receipt of SS, corrugate and materials
  • Responsible for accurate count and location of all put away products.
  • Maintains ongoing integrity of the inventory through on-going analysis and reconciliation of the physical and systematic inventory/locations.
  • Responsible to review all inventory adjustments, investigating trends and pinpoint reasons for inventory discrepancies.
  • Partners with QIC manager to support overall inventory accuracy.
  • Directs receiving flow through working with carriers.
  • Works with carriers to resolve in transit claims.
  • Responsible to work with internal and external shippers to resolve shipping shortages and overages.
  • Responsible to review all inventory receipt errors, investigating trends and pinpointing areas of improvement.
  • Initiates process audits. Reports results to management and make recommendations for areas of improvement.
  • Partners with Supervisors/Management from other departments to focus on all aspects of supporting the business goals.
  • Organizes regularly scheduled team meetings for department team members.
  • Must handle multiple tasks independently with precise detail and follow up reporting.
  • Responsible for staffing, training, employee relations and business goals following SOP and ISO requirements. Provides project, cost improvement and team support while promoting a safe motivated work environment
  • As required hires, discharges, evaluates and disciplines employees in accordance with current personnel policies
QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Intermediate skill in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Advanced preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand highly technical material.
  • Language skills (e.g., proficient in reading and writing in English or Spanish or must be able to communicate in xyz language etc.)
Work Environment:
  • Normal warehouse and office environment with some exposure to dust, heat and cold. Ability to perform light to medium physical work, exerting up to 40-50 pounds of force occasionally and performing such activities as lifting, keying, stooping and bending. Ability to have clarity of near vision with 20 inches.
Experience:
  • Three years' supervisor experience
  • Four to six years' experience in inventory control, resolution, accuracy and picking.
  • Microsoft Suite with an emphasis on Excel to include Pivot tables.
  • Warehouse Management Systems, JDA, BAAN, ERP, GPSII and RedZone
Education:
  • Associate degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred, with emphasis on business management or equivalent experience with data processing or equivalent training and/or experience
