About the position:
Supervises, coordinates, provides leadership to, and reviews the work accomplished by assigned staff at our Parts Distribution Center (PDC). This position is in a Toyota Production System (TPS) culture and support of these principles are required. This position requires flexibility to other shifts first or second and business drives the need. We are looking for someone well organized and who can handle emergent customer orders with decorum.
You will:
* Oversee the day-today operations of the PDC and of employees including the training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and insuring consistent application of organizational policies.
* Provide data and analysis concerning departmental and individual performance.
* Evaluate, recommend, and implement changes in methods or procedures in assigned area(s) of responsibility.
* Plan and schedule the work of a section, department or organization, or multiple sections, departments or organizations for maximum effective utilization of employees, equipment and material within budgetary, cost and quality standards.
* Estimate needs and assign work to meet completion dates in accordance with schedules fixed by business plan, and or management.
* Conduct performance appraisals, makes hiring decisions, and takes disciplinary action including termination.
* Foster a safe work environment.
* Encourage associate submittal of Kiazen and ensures implementation
* Support the organization's TPS culture
About the schedule:
This position is 2nd shift and will work Monday through Friday 2:30PM to 11PM - there is a 10% premium for working 2nd Shift.
About the work environment:
Works in a factory setting. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in accordance with Company policy. For forklift operation, required to obtain and maintain Forklift Driver Certification through the Company and operate the forklift in a safe manner. Required to stand for long periods of time and manually lift/move/manipulate parts up to 50 pounds or use cranes/hoists to move heavier materials. Temperatures may be extreme; elevated in the summer, cold in the winter. Needs to be able to cope with stressors and demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable and defined levels of performance are maintained.
About you:
* Two or more years of warehousing experience is required
It would be great if you had:
* An Associates Degree in a related field
* Two or more years of experience in a supervisory/management role

About the total compensation package:
Salary - $62,353 - $77,518 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidates education and experience.
Relocation This position may qualify for relocation.
