Production Supervisor - Exempt

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Supervisor to plan, direct, and coordinate all assigned operations following manufacturing objectives. As a Production Supervisor, you will manage and provide direction to departmental personnel in implementing modern, cost-effective practices to achieve the goals of the department according to all safety, quality, housekeeping, and production standards.
As a Production Supervisor, you will supervise all personnel and operations in the department by employing leadership, hands-on technical support, scheduling, and project management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain a thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment
Meet departmental metrics
Monitor manufacturing activities and ensure manufacturing processes are being followed and that all quality requirements are being met or exceeded
Review and dispose of all scrap produced in the department which includes effective root cause and corrective action analysis
Gather data and chart department metrics and results
Direct departmental activities providing assurance of safety, health, and compliance with environmental rules and regulations
Train, coach, develop and evaluate employees in the department
Ensure that H.R. policies, rules, regulations, and procedures are followed and documented.
Support Employee Involvement activities in the department, ensuring all team members are available for team activities
Maintain personal education levels associated with modern manufacturing and effective management
Must be proficient with FANUC, Okuma controls
Understands, interprets and edits FANUC G-code programming
Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures, and tooling
Various other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Participate in training as required
5-10% Domestic Travel required
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 35 lbs.
Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, and move about our facility
Requirements:
Must be a US Person as defined by US Government and able to work without restriction with ITAR related data
2+ year related technical degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
3+ years' of supervision experience
Experience in aerospace manufacturing; rotating components preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
Excellent organizational, communication, and written skills
Computer fluency in MS Office applications
