About Us:Provider Contract Food Service specializes in providing culinary and hospitality excellence to our clients for the past 18 years. Our location at Southern Baptist University in Bolivar, MO, is currently looking to build our Food Service Team in the position of Supervisor.Check us out on the web at www.providerfoodservice.comSummary of the Job:Works under the direction of Management to supervise employees at a particular food service location. Knowledgeable in each position, to sufficiently actively train and coach location staff in their specific roles.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have 1-3 years supervisory experience in a food service environment
  • Must possess positive attitude while leading others
  • Ability to handle confrontation respectfully
  • Consistently maintaining a professional interaction with employees
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and consistently possess a sense of urgency
  • Positive communication skills
  • Able to follow verbal instructions
  • Able to calculate weight and measurements accurately and complete basic math as needed
JOB SPECIFICS:
  • Complete opening/closing duties, including preparing staff line up, logging previous days portions, completing daily food tracking forms
  • Supervise daily pull list and check status of prep list
  • Verify staff uniforms are clean and properly worn, train employees
  • Correct and post menu signs as needed
  • Conduct Temperature checks in absence of shift coordinator, monitor product for quality, guarantee proper product rotation is in place (FIFO), and review proper portion control
  • Ensure items are labeled correctly and properly stored, verify back up product is available
  • Keep storage rooms clean and organized, organize and rotate retail items, maintain inventory control
  • Monitor employee hand washing and enforce all health & safety regulations
  • Investigate guest complaints and inform manager
  • In the absence of the Manager and/or Shift Coordinator, functions as the lead for a location
  • Ability to work any station
  • Knowledgeable of menu rotation and recipes
