POSITION DESCRIPTION Job Title: Slot Supervisor 1 Reports to: Slot Shift Manager Department: Slots FLSA Status: Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY The team member in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. The Slot Supervisor will be responsible for the successful operation of the casino floor, monitor performance of slot machines, player activity, slot attendants, and conditions of the casino slot areas ensuring that all slot machines are operable and identified for repair as necessary during their assigned shift. They are responsible for assisting the Shift Manager and the Manager in the administration, operation, and direct management of casino bars and staff. Supervisors will be responsible for learning and communicating the various policy's and systems required for the operation of the casino bars. They will ensure compliance with all internal controls and Gaming regulations, as well as making sure that guests have a favorable experience. ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive for specific positions.   • Interact with all guests and team members to positively influence the guest and team member experience. Demonstrate resiliency when faced with difficult situations under all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow team members.
  • Responsible for verifying jackpots, paying jackpots, completing paper fills and accurately filling out all related paperwork associated with transactions.
  • Responsible for the supervision and performance of the assigned outlet staff on a shift basis to ensure exemplary guest satisfaction.
  • Participates in the modification of resources due to changes in the business plan or volumes.
  • Manages processes and programs that will effectively control and reduce lost time injuries.
  • Responsible for reviewing staffing levels to provide optimum service while maintaining or controlling cost.
  • Assists management with all sanitation laws and health regulations and applicable OSHA regulations to ensure outlet meets or exceeds said practices and requirements.
  • Ensures the proper service of alcohol by following the current laws of the state and the policies of the company.
  • Responsible for ordering product and maintaining par levels.
  • Responsible for accurately and effectively completing the inventory process.
  • Delegates various duties and assigns tasks.
  • Responsible for monitoring employees.
  • Responsible for the successful performance of assigned duties.
  • Reviews casino activities and performance with the Manager.
  • Meets with other management staff as necessary.
  • Attends meetings and contributes to company strategy and policy making as required.
  • Manage and control departmental expenditures, including payroll, within agreed budgets.
  • Responsible for the supervision and performance of the team.
  • Responsible for the training and development of employees on the floor.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining positive guest relations, including but not limited to, resolving guest disputes and ensuring the safety and security of guests and employees.
  • Responsible to have knowledge of patron alcohol limitations and company policy and procedure regarding limitations.
  • Responsible for general cleanliness of facility through allocating and maintaining recourses. Maintains all cleaning tools and machines.
  • Maintain good public communication skills and associations with vendors, contractors and other internal departmental management.
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental and Company policies in an ethical manner and require others to do the same.
  • Handle routine customer complaints and incidents, and exhibit the appropriate discretion to define situations requiring the attention of Management personnel. Seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including nights, weekends and holidays; shifts may change based on business needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    • Must possess the ability to move effectively and efficiently throughout the casino floor -
    • Sitting 20%
    • Walking 60%
    • Standing 10%
    • Bending/lifting 10%; up to 40 lbs. without assistance and up to 60 lbs. with assistance.
    • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
    Mental Demands:
    • Must be able to maintain mental concentration for significant/extended periods of time.
    Work Environment:
    • Exposed to electricity and an environment of varying temperatures.
    • Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
    • Must be able to work in a gaming environment with bright/flashing lights, crowds and above average noise levels.
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Experience/Education:
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
    • Prefer 5-7 years' experience in Gaming with at least a 4-year degree in related fields or equivalent Management work experience.
    Knowledge:
    • Advanced knowledge of the various families of Microsoft Office product
    • Must be able to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
    • Must be able to analyze and interpret departmental needs and obtain results.
    • Must be able to read, write and understand instructions and will be able to interpret regulatory documents.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of policies and procedures of bar operation.
    Other:
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Level 2 Missouri Gaming License.
    • Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification relating to the position.
    • Must complete all required company training.
    • Must be able to complete related paperwork with minimal errors.
