Test SupervisorWe are looking for a Test Supervisor to join our IMR Test Labs team!Our Test Supervisor manages and directs engineers and high level technicians in the assigned Department. Monitors daily activities, maintains a high focus on quality, and drives work to completion. Ensures that the assigned department meets customer needs and expectations for materials testing and evaluations. Maintain high degree of knowledge and proficiency in material science and serve as resident expert in area of specialty.Location: Lansing, NYSalary: $75,000 – $85,000Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in New York. Coordinate the input of other departments, and report results in an accurate and timely manner. Inform the managers in a timely manner of administrative and technical activities, status of programs, problem areas, and corrective actions.Prepare quotes, review and distribute incoming jobs, review work and reports, and ensure that all aspects of department jobs are completed with the highest degree of quality and in a timely manner. Interface with customers as necessary to assure that a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.Train, manage and develop others, and promote teamwork within and across departments. Lead, motivate and drive team members to achieve goals for on time delivery, turnaround and sales. Maintain a high degree of focus on quality and achieve goal set for CARs/1000.Maintain department condition and appearance. Provide a safe, well-equipped, audit-ready work area. Assure that equipment is properly maintained and in calibration. Establish and maintain department procedures consistent with the IMR Quality Assurance Manual.Exhibit and maintain a high level of engineering skills. Keep abreast of new developments in the field and provide technical leadership in laboratory growth areas. Serve as a resident expert and a technical resource for others. Maintain professional visibility through activities in professional organizations.Assist Manager with the implementation of changes and improvements. Lead projects and special tasks as directed.
