Location: Suffern,NY, USA
The Supervisor, Cancer Registry is responsible for the interdisciplinary coordination of the Cancer Program components and management of the Cancer Registry, including overseeing all activities related to Commission on Cancer (CoC) and National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Collects and reports data for cancer-related studies.
* Coordinates cancer conferences, cancer program meetings, and other meetings as needed.
* Coordinates production of annual reports as needed.
* Works in collaboration with oncology data specialists (ODS) to ensure proper data collection for NYS reporting and CoC/NAPBC.
* Oversees and participates in quality studies.
* Prepares documents necessary for ACOS and other accrediting organization surveys.
* Supports clinical research activities.
* Works with the medical staff in cancer related activities and coordinates CME activities related to the Cancer Program.
* Supervises registry staff.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
3 to 5 years of healthcare experience required. Experience working in a Commission on Cancer (CoC) program preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree required. Equivalent combination of experience and education may be substituted for degree requirement.
Licenses / Certifications:
National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC)-approved program preferred.
