The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the efficient and effective operation of all warehouse activities, ensuring the timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining accuracy, quality, and safety standards. This pivotal role involves coordinating with various departments to optimize workflow, manage inventory levels, and implement strategies for continuous improvement. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead the warehouse operations of our organization, driving excellence in efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead warehouse staff, including input on hiring and performance management. The supervisor will also be the trainer for new warehouse staff. Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to optimize receipt and delivery, of goods while and minimizing costs that align with current Blackburn's policies. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to accurately track stock levels and prevent discrepancies.Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to facilitate the timely receipt and dispatch of goods, ensuring smooth operations.Utilize warehouse management systems and other technology to track inventory, manage orders, and generate reports.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any issues related to inventory, orders, or warehouse operations.Implement and enforce best practices for inventory management, including proper handling of goods.Optimize space utilization within the warehouse to maximize storage capacity and efficiency.Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction, implementing changes as needed.Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other external stakeholders.Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance, including key metrics such as order fulfillment rates, inventory turnover, and accuracy.Maintain company-owned vehicles and logs.Oversee and ensure staff training and competencies regarding equipment, delivery/pick-up protocols, safety and Joint Commission and OSHA Standards.Comply with related paperwork and data entry requirements. QualificationsExperience & Education
