Clarification from the agencyCurrent Career and Career Conditional employee's of the National Park Service; Veterans' Employment Opportunity Act (VEOA); CTAP/ICTAP; Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act (LMWFA); Public Land Corps (PLC) members; Military Spouses.VideosDutiesAs a Supervisory Facility Management Systems Program Coordinator, GS-1601-12 with the National Park Service (NPS), your duties will include, but are not limited to:Responsible for hiring, training, oversight, and field coordination of multiple work teams of FMSS Network personnel.Performs the full range of supervisory responsibilities including but not limited to developing annual performance standards, conducting twice-yearly performance appraisals for direct reports, developing, and reviewing individual development plans (IDPs) with employees.Makes recommendations for awards, identifying training needs, and approving training, and serving as a point of contact for employee concerns. Formulates, implements, and monitors policies and procedures for the effective utilization of the FMSS systems in the asset management practices for park units throughout the region.Identifies Park planning needs and formulates annual strategies for the development and maintenance of accurate and consistent FMSS business practices throughout the region.Provides FMSS support and guidance for other specialists within the regional office, such as in the areas of budget, cultural resources, concessions, interpretation, etc.Coordinates and/or provides training and mentoring for park facility management staff and all park FMSS coordinators.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentU.S. Citizenship required.Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for malesSelectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program.Any individual who is currently holding, or has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet time-in-grade requirements (must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent in the Federal service); with few exceptions as outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). QualificationsAll qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-11/15/2024-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement.To qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal Service providing technical support for program management workutilizing a comprehensive range of principles, concepts, and practices in the area of facility management which includes: Monitoring and tracking a program budget; Utilizing a variety of asset management and database management software programs related to repair, rehabilitation, and construction for a variety of building types, state-of-the-art utility systems, complex mechanical systems, telecommunications systems, roads, general grounds maintenance, shop operations to accurately perform asset analysis, determine project objectives, recognize deficiencies, provide recommendations and estimate repair and rehabilitation costs.; Preparing and presenting reports to management from facility maintenance databases for operational, fiscal and planning purposes; participating in the formulation and execution of long-range strategies for facility management.Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 for each federal position listed as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of qualifying experience that you will be granted.
