DutiesIncumbent plans, directs and manages the work of the Branch, including budgets and schedules.Makes final recommendations to supervisor on current and long-range plans for resource requirements, to include budget, personnel and space requirements.Represents the Division in negotiating major contracts and scopes of work with professional services firms, universities and colleges, and firms specializing in environmental and cultural resource evaluation, in connection with USACE mission areas.Provides oversight in preparation of materials, programs and exhibits for presentation to public and private groups, local conservation commissions, watershed organizations, and municipal, state and federal Government agencies.Represents the District by leading and/or participating in regional and national meetings to build interagency, intra-agency, and stakeholder relationships and to identify collaboration opportunities.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentAppointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license within 30 days of employment.This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG).
