Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerospace Supplier Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of experience in defense supplier quality management, ideally at a MTO (made-to-order) or low volume - high mix machining and metal manufacturing facility.

Your mission: Manage supplier quality activities, Evaluate Suppliers, Support Supplier Onboarding, and drive supplier performance improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all suppliers meet the company's quality standards and requirements.
  • Develop and implement supplier quality improvement plans.
  • Perform supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop and maintain supplier quality metrics and reports.
  • Participate in new product introduction and supplier selection.
  • Conduct supplier capability assessments and monitor supplier performance.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with contract flow-down requirements.
  • Develop and maintain supplier quality agreements.
  • Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (experience may be considered in lieu of education)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supplier quality and/or quality engineering
  • Experience with metal castings & fabrication is required. Experience with metal manufacturing for defense customers preferred.
  • Track record of success driving supplier performance improvement metrics such as First Article Approvals, Supplier Quality - DPPM & Supplier OTD
