In this role, you will drive key metrics of material quality issued for medical device equipment and technology. You are the front line of quality metrics by driving communication and technical knowledge of tolerances, quality, inspection, and data analysis.This role is critical for the operational adherence to standards used in creating medical equipment and technology.You will perform quality assurance relating to external materials and suppliers. You will manage the suppliers and perform evaluations of new suppliers, including the re-evaluation of existing suppliers.This will include auditing of suppliers and performing detailed risk assessments of those companies/suppliers.You should have a continuous improvement mentality utilizing tools that will allow the suppliers to always be striving for the best possible products needed for the manufacturing of the equipment. Think of this role as an internal/external consultant to the suppliers that this client depends on and protecting the quality of the product.You are the gatekeeper to ensure the best products are received, as ordered and expected, and to manage the relationship with these suppliers.Ultimately, you are driving suppliers (in some cases, very technically driven materials and components) to provide the highest possible quality of their product with the lowest possible cost.
