Our expert solutions encompass an array of game-changing technologies, including state-of-the-art sonar, radar, expendables, signature management, and naval power systems.Join us in shaping the future of naval warfare and together, we will safeguard the seas and empower navies worldwide!The Ultra Assurance function is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and fulfilment of Ultra's Quality Policy, which is to comply fully in the conduct of the Company's business with all applicable regulatory and customer required specifications, and to maintain an effective Quality Management System, working in partnership with the Operations and Engineering teams to ensure that products and processes conform to applicable standards and specifications, and the incidence and costs of quality non-conformances are constantly monitored and improved, while maintaining the highest practicable standards of manufacturing productivity and efficiency.Nationality Requirements Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.Job DescriptionEssential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Non-Conformance Process Support and Management
  • Liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing and Procurement for material issues
  • Supplier Audits and Action Verification
  • Supplier Continuous Improvement
  • Complete all First Article Inspections (FAI) for approval of all new parts / suppliers. Maintain data as needed for AS9102 for ASW Receiver products.
  • Request for Engineering Approval Inspections (REA)
  • Coordinate all efforts for Non-conforming material, getting inputs from design, manufacturing and supply chain management.
  • DMR and RMA Processing
  • Review data obtained through the incoming receiving department, and address issues or make adjustments within the inspection system accordingly for their commodity area.
  • Maintain the AS9100 approved Supplier Quality system and support AS9100 Audits as required.
  • Provide support for any customer visits and/or DCMA visits related to parts.
  • Investigate and address customer complaints regarding part quality.
  • Work with Design Engineering and Supply chain Management to Continuously develop and improve the adequacy of existing incoming receiving processes for their commodity area.
  • Coordinate efforts to return material to the supplier for analysis, rework, or replacement.
  • Evaluate new suppliers and ensure that due diligence is given to identifying and managing the associated risks for their commodity area.
  • Assist the Supplier Quality Manager with the approval process when suppliers are added, their scope of approvals are updated, or there are changes in the location of manufacture, process, critical equipment, ownership, etc. With Supply Chain Management actively approved and disapprove suppliers as required.
  • Develop plans with suppliers to increase quality and reduce internal sampling of their product at Ultra Maritime.
  • Responsible for staying in compliance with EEO, ADA and all other applicable governmental requirements the company is required to be in compliance with.
  • All staff is required to take reasonable care for their own health and safety by adhering to established safety policies and procedures, to not willfully place at risk the health or safety of any individual and to wear personal protective equipment as specified in work instructions.
  • Performs all other duties as required, requested or needed.
Education and Experience Requirements:Must be a US Citizen. Must have a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, applied science, quality assurance or an associated field. Five years of experience in quality or a quality related field, in a manufacturing environment.Other:
  • Must have excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Must have excellent understanding in root cause analysis and the ability to lead teams in the use of the data.
