The Supplier Quality Manager will participate and lead MRB activities, manage supplier performance, perform source inspections & audits, and manage NPI verification activities. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree with 5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.This position is on-site in Orchard Park, NY. Relocation packages are available.Essential ResponsibilitiesPrimary focus will entail participating and/or leading Material Review Board (MRB) activities, including investigating supplier NCRs, notifying supplier & managing each occurrence through the corrective action phase; Coordinate supplier notification & return to vendor activitiesReview supplier requests for deviation & direct review other core functionsManage ASL for assigned suppliers, performing on-site assessments & audits as required per QMS & AS9100 requirementsSupport the onboarding, developing, cost recovery & performance improvement initiatives as directed by Supply Chain ManagementSupport Supply Chain in facilitating the flow-down of customer specific requirements to suppliersMonitor supplier performance via scorecards & drive corrective action & continuous improvement initiativesPerform source inspection & NPI verification activities as requiredReview FAI submissions & drive receiving inspection plans; Submit and/or review Engineering Change Orders (ECO) & support purchasing with change management activitiesPosition RequirementsRequired Qualifications:BS/BT with 5-7 years of Quality Engineering experience1-3 years of supervisory experience is requiredExperience with AS9100 Quality Management Systems; Knowledge of First Article InspectionsSource/Quality Inspection, experience with measurement equipment - surface plates, height gages, micrometers, gage blocks, CMM equipment, optical comparator & vision systemsExperience with formal problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Why, Root Cause Corrective Action, etc.)Knowledge of change management processes & strategiesMust be able & willing to travel regionally to support Supplier Quality related visitsPreferred Qualifications:Experience within a Supplier Quality related fieldExperience with AS9100 or IATF16949; Lead or internal auditor certification/trainingTechnical GD&T experience, qualifications, certifications, training & skills a plus.Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) - PPAP: Control Plans, PFMEA, GR&R, MSA; Risk Assessment & risk-mitigation toolsExperience with Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing methodology, including certifications or project experienceDriven individual with great communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with others, work in a fast-paced environment & foster supplier partnershipsThis position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
