Located in Torrance, CA, the Company's business model is focused on providing a one-stop-shop solution for payors and patients and generating significant cross-selling opportunities and recurring business. With 40+ years of home medical equipment sales experience, South Bay has proven relationships with the largest Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and physician networks in the region. The Company maintains two facilities - a 12,000 sq. ft. retail showroom and office space and an 8,000 sq. ft. Complex Rehabilitation Technology facility and office space for the design and repair of manual and power wheelchairs and scooters.

The Role

This is a full-time position requiring 40 or more hours per week. The Supplies Sales Representative (SSR) is integral to the day-to-day operations of the Company. The SSR has responsibility for generating, marketing, and managing supply sales (e.g. urological, incontinence, etc.).

Qualifications

The SSR must have one to two (1-2) or more years of experience in durable medical equipment sales.

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One to two (1-2) years' customer service experience
  • Home medical equipment product knowledge and experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Excel knowledge
  • Experience selling into hospitals, physicians offices, clinics, and home health agencies
  • Experience networking with case managers & skilled nurses
  • DME payor reimbursement knowledge
  • Experience cold calling and mining cold leads
  • Experience building and growing a sales book of business
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Ability to speak multiple languages, including Spanish, is preferred.
  • Live within 30 miles of 1349 El Prado Avenue, Torrance, CA 90501

The SSR's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Present, promote, and sell products/services to existing and prospective referral sources and customers
  • Establish positive partnerships with all referral sources
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments
  • Deliver excellent customer service with a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and compassion
  • Ensure high-quality customer service and response time to customer issues or problems Provide feedback to management on customer preferences and product trends
  • Attend and actively participates in department meetings to discuss changes, workload enhancement strategies, performance results, and resolve issues
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies in Home Health Care industry including The Joint Commission, OSHA, DOT, FDA, and state and federal agencies
  • Attend and actively participate in the Employee Book Club
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation package structured on achieving sales goals (target annual compensation of $60,000 - $120,000 based on performance)
