He/She would collaborate with the Sales team to meet corporate sales objectives, support and provide input to R&D Product Managers to place initial buys and provide excellent customer service to the Order Entry and Tech teams on product questions. To achieve successful new product launches, he/she will oversee and follow the Product Development Timeline (PDT) to ensure all testing is completed as specified, materials or risk buys are placed when needed, and deliveries are shipped according to schedule. Responsibilities
- Full responsibility and leadership for specified lighting product groups
- Manage weekly replenishment orders
- Develop and drive strategy to optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand as well as control and reduce excess and obsolete finished goods inventory
- Manage initial order quantities and ensure on-time delivery for new introductions
- Monitor inventory turn at a plant level to ensure proper inventory flow
- Quickly react to special order requests, providing confirmed lead times for planned production
- Work with sales on fulfilling orders, managing stock transfer of components between all three warehouses as needed
- Must be able to work with multiple levels of the organization
- Proactively monitor global market conditions and recommend counter-measures accordingly
- Pre-empt potential vendor and market issues to avoid supply interruption and follow dual/multi-sources purchasing strategy on our core items, and new prototypes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Related Field
- 2-5 years related experience
- Strong organization/multi-tasking skills
- Flexible/adaptable to changing priorities is essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong listening, written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow established practices, policies and procedures
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up
- Ability to maintain poise and a positive attitude in a challenging, fast-paced rapidly changing environment
- Experience with SAP preferred, not required
- Ability to travel Internationally (1-2 per year)
- Mandarin preferred, not required
The expected salary is $70,000-$80,000 per year. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors allowed by law.8:00am - 5:00pm
