**Supply Chain Analyst - Material Handling Equipment**
Serve as a dedicated resource to support the fleet management operation of material handling equipment in excess of 8000 units, spread among 1500+ locations across North America!
This is a Hybrid role based out of **Newport News, VA** , in accordance with the **Ferguson** Flex schedule; 3 days office / 2 days remote
Our fleet, consisting of 70 makes and over 1000 unique models, is diverse. The ideal candidate will be extremely focused and driven to provide exceptional customer service, combined with the emotional intelligence and empathy to interact with associates with drastically different personalities, mannerisms, goals and responsibilities within the organization.
Around 100,000 recordable injuries occur in the United States every year regarding the operation and working within proximity of, material handling equipment. While mitigating downtime and reducing expenses are paramount in any fleet operation, safety will always be our first and foremost concern, and must reflect in everything we do.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Function as a dedicated fleet team resource providing support for all Ferguson associates in relation to material handling equipment. Field phone calls, respond to emails, send out regular communication on program changes and provide timely updates to multiple levels within the organization.
+ Utilize and demonstrate ability to prioritize requests, exhibit exceptional time management while facing heavy work volume and remaining organized.
+ Identify and implement orders for new equipment per fleet program governance. Scrutinize location requests for new equipment against established fleet policy retention parameters.
+ Monitor the approval process for service expense exceeding a threshold dollar amount. Understand and execute decisions on the future of that equipment based on a pre-determined calculus.
+ Understand and appreciate the significance of your decisions in this capacity and how it impacts the location(s), and proactively take steps to ensure it does not hamper their ability to conduct commerce.
+ Audit and process $800K+ in monthly expenses relating to the operation of the material handling fleet.
+ Professionally and constructively work with internal departments and external vendors to ensure all departmental prerequisites are satisfied prior to payment and integration of billing data into a centralized database.
+ Develop and publish vendor facing KPI's on a monthly basis.
+ Explore new avenues for revenue in the remarketing of our used equipment.
+ Identify process improvement opportunities that increase value and or efficiency of the fleet program. Professionally challenge the status quo.
+ Strive to become a subject matter expert in the area of material handling equipment.
**Preferred Qualifications and Requirements**
+ Education: Bachelor or Associate's Degree preferred, but not required.
+ Prior experience with an equipment OEM, dealership, service facility or rental company, or will have experience with material fleet management or procurement as an end user.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office or other equivalent platform
+ Any Web design experience preferred.
+ Data visualization and business intelligence tool like Power BI, Tableau or others experience preferred.
