This position is for local residents only.

Position summary- Coordinate with the Sourcing Manager and Vendors to ensure orders are shipped efficiently and cost effectively. Track vendor on time production performance and lead times. Report product availability and lead time to the organization to provide visibility. Major responsibilities: Communicate with vendors to schedule and route shipments as production is completed. Coordinate with carriers to minimize costs of freight and avoid the need for expedited freight. Update systems of product lead teams, delays, and customers impacted by any delays. Provide current product arrival times and general status updates so that all in the organization will have status updates on a regular basis. Daily review of vendor shipping plans to hold vendors accountable to promised ship dates. Assist sourcing with some purchase orders and sample requests sent to vendors. Coordinate with QC inspector as samples and products come in to have parts inspected for submitting to customers for review. Job Requirements: College degree preferred, or 5 years experience in operations, purchasing or logistics. Experience in supply chain management, logistics or freight management is preferred but not required. Computer proficiency is required with experience with ERP systems, and must be skilled in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Past experience with Epicor ERP a plus. Must be able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment. Work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communications required. Past experience working with foreign offices is helpful. Familiarity with international logistics is helpful.
