The job description involves overseeing order fulfillment and maintaining effective communication with customers to deliver exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include:
Order Processing and Fulfillment:
- Aligning on execution with supply chain partners and completing the order administration cycle.
- Monitoring order flow, fine-tuning delivery routes, and identifying potential issues.
- Measuring performance of internal and external warehouses and setting up KPI dashboards for these processes.
Cost Control:
- Defining a measurement tool to monitor execution costs and ensuring they are within the range of the business case.
- Sharing cost control updates on a weekly basis.
IT Usage and Reporting:
- Improving the usage of IT systems (SAP/EDI) and becoming an operations expert in SAP processes.
- Supporting and improving reporting functions for both external and internal customers/colleagues.
Order Management:
- Receiving orders through various channels and entering them into SAP to ensure processing.
- Liaising with AR for 'at risk customers' and managing orders for customers that exceed their credit limit.
- Confirming orders for processing and ensuring correct invoicing and dispatch quantities.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in business administration or operations.
- Working experience in an operational setting.
- Proficiency in SAP and reporting systems.
- Excellent skills in Excel and VBA.
