Want to be a Supply Chain Engineer at Game Composites?The Supply Chain Engineer analyzes and optimizes supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery in a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment. This role focuses on sourcing per engineering drawings, standards, and requirements while supporting operational goals and objectives. Success requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving approach.In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Process Optimization: Analyzing supply chain processes to identify improvement opportunities, increasing efficiency, and reducing costs. Implementing lean methodologies and best practices to streamline operations.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Collecting and analyzing data on inventory, procurement, transportation, and warehousing. Developing dashboards and reports to track supply chain performance metrics.
  • Supplier Management: Collaborating with suppliers to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, standards, and requirements. Conducting evaluations and fostering long-term supplier relationships.
  • Logistics & Transportation: Optimizing transportation routes, carrier selection, and shipping methods to minimize costs and ensure on-time delivery. Resolving shipping or distribution challenges with logistics teams.
  • Inventory Control: Monitoring inventory levels and developing strategies to balance stock availability with working capital needs. Supporting the implementation of inventory management tools and techniques.
  • System Implementation: Assisting with the integration of supply chain software and tools. Providing input on system improvements and ensuring alignment with existing processes.
  • Risk Management: Identifying supply chain risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure operational continuity and reliability.
  • Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and finance, to align supply chain strategies with organizational goals.
Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field (relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • 3 or more years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or process engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
