Supply Chain/Logistics Coordinator

Dr. Idriss, a skincare community-turned-brand founded by award-winning NYC board-certified dermatologist Dr. Shereene Idriss (with 3+M followers!), is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The Logistics Coordinator will provide coordination, data entry, and analytical support across supply chain (SC) initiatives and day-to-day operations, reporting to the Director of Operations and collaborating with Customer Experience (CX), Product Development, Finance/Accounting, other internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders such as contract fillers, packaging vendors, 3PLs, carriers, and others. They will bring a minimum of one year of logistics/operational experience, including shipper or service provider perspectives, and a working knowledge at the shipment or order workflow level.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day issues to ensure timely movement of physical and data flows across Dr. Idriss trading partners. Coordination may include upstream processes such as PO workflows from contract fillers to 3PLs and downstream workflows from 3PLs to B2B consignees
  • Coordinate end-to-end processes of B2B orders from retail trading partners to ensure timely flow to retailers DCs
  • Enter data into various systems to ensure timely and accurate communication of orders information to trading partners
  • As required, gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, processes, constraints, and other business requirements to support Director of Operations on strategic SC initiatives
  • Team with internal stakeholders and DRIs trading partners to solve one-off problems and/or strategic initiatives
  • As instructed, represent Ops on logistics projects and/or support initiatives from conception to completion
  • Bring macro, strategic thinking, as well as the ability to zoom down to the process level
  • Execute with a sense of urgency, organization, and attention to details

Our Ideal Nerd

  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • Minimum of one (1) year of direct operational experience in domestic or international logistics either on the shipper side or with a service provider (e.g. 3PL, forwarder, carrier, etc.); shipper verticals must be in health and beauty, other consumer goods, or retail
  • Demonstrate ability to work comfortably with processes and numbers
  • Has worked in fast-growth companies, comfortable with unstructured environment, willing and able to make sense out of chaos, not easily daunted by multiple balls in the air
  • Good analytical skills and curiosity ability to take a problem, hold it to the light, and provide constructive criticism / feedback
  • Capabilities with Excel required
  • Must be a quick learner with high get it factor
  • Ability to work across various business functions e.g. B2B channels, Product Dev., Finance / Accounting, 3PLs / carriers
  • History of problem solving coming up with hypotheses, structuring and performing analyses, translating results into business conclusions, demonstrating creative thinking
