Job purpose

To manage the USA Supply Chain operation ensuring effective and efficient management of inventory, customer service and third-party service providers to deliver service excellence to our customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the USA Supply Chain team. Actively coach, develop and multi-skill members of the team, the wider business and supplier partners as required to maximise productivity and effectiveness
  • Maintain effective relationships with suppliers and third-party service providers, working with them to build capability, efficiency and reliability, measuring them versus KPI and service level agreements to ensure best practice is clear and adhered to
  • Ensure excellent management of sales orders and customer issue handling to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver high levels of stock accuracy by ensuring that systems transactions are processed accurately and on-time
  • Provide subject matter expertise in import/export documentation, ensuring clear and appropriate processes for the team to work with our freight agents and 3PL's to ensure compliance and smooth movement of goods
  • Work closely with the Global Planning team to ensure high levels of stock availability are delivered at the lowest cost
  • Co-ordinate with the wider business to successfully deliver timely and cost-effective product launches, product changes and product cycle ends
  • Identify opportunities to mitigate costs, do things more efficiently and anticipate any issues that may arise in the future, communicating these to the relevant stakeholders and working to implement them
  • Ensure a high standard of conduct and leadership by being a role model and setting the example for others to follow. Flexible, with a can-do attitude, towards all aspects of the role
  • Undertake any other duties which may from time to time be assigned

Person Specification

  • 5-10 years Supply Chain, Logistics or Distribution experience.
  • Experience of managing a team.
  • Experience across logistics, customer service and planning preferred.
  • Import/Export experience preferred but not essential.

Knowledge and skills

  • Experience of Microsoft Business Central preferred but not essential
  • Intermediate IT skills: Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Business Central/SAP etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise workload, multitask and work to deadlines
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with multiple stakeholders
  • Flexible to take on extra and varied tasks when required
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced environment
  • Proactive and quick thinking in solving problems
  • Have a positive attitude with a strong passion for what you do
