Responsibilities:

The Supply Chain Manager (Multi-site) is responsible for Supply Chain activities at both the St. Marys, PA and Coudersport, PA sites. In this role, the Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leadership of demand planning, purchasing, procurement, and logistics, and collaborating closely with Commercial & Operations leaders to ensure that customer demand is clearly understood and effectively matched with appropriate materials and manufacturing capacity via the most cost effective means possible. This is a key management role requiring strategic and tactical leadership to optimize business performance.

Essential Functions:

  • Management of the Supply Chain team at St. Marys and Coudersport which includes the following roles: Scheduling, Production Planning, Buyer, Supply Chain Analyst, Logistics (Warehouse and Shipping),
  • Lead and develop the US based supply chain function for selection of & management of supplier performance using appropriate objective measurement techniques
  • Act as the lead in negotiation & renewal of strategic supplier agreements
  • Ensure material supply meets internal demands and production requirements
  • Communicate any material constraints to the Operations team and coordinate a plan to reduce impacts when necessary
  • Develop an organization based on accountability and continuous improvement for cost optimization in the supply chain, including stratification of suppliers
  • Objectively monitor, track and report on time delivery from vendors, reacting as necessary and holding them accountable for optimal performance
  • Drive excellence in on-time delivery for third party and inter-company customer supply performance
  • Data Analysis of KPIs and creation of a supply chain dashboard
  • Lead demand planning team to ensure operational capacity is optimized through effective planning, developing and using tools to spot changes in demand patterns and enabling scheduling adjustments to meet customer expectations
  • Support Operations through Stock Management and Forecasting, Procurement, Warehouse and Logistics Management, and Production Planning
  • Develop a team of professionals & ensure capabilities of the team maintain alignment to changes in the business
  • Operate in a collaborative manner to ensure positive working relationships with cross functional leaders and their teams
  • Communicate clearly in all appropriate formats including written & verbal forms and employ visual management techniques to enable a broad understanding of supply chain & business performance
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements

    The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership of purchasing, supply chain, and demand planning teams. Experience in various supply chain disciplines and effective use of appropriate business systems is required. Minimum education required is a bachelors degree and 5-10 years of experience leading the supply chain or planning function, or a business-related operations role.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Must be familiar with Microsoft Word-Processing and Spreadsheet (Excel) software
    • Must work well to develop solutions with little direction, works well with ambiguity
    • Must be data driven to see trends in supply base and adjust priorities as necessary
    • Must be able to clearly present ideas and reports in written and verbal format
    • Must be able to work well with subordinates, peers and superiors in all functions of the Company
    • Must be able to work well with external contacts for Morgan
    • Must have good time management, planning and negotiation skills
    • Must adhere to all Company policies
    • Understanding of quality systems such as TS, ISO, QS or Aerospace is a plus

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be capable of sitting and using a computer for the majority of an 8-hour workday
    • Must be able to lift 35 pounds
    • Must be capable of traveling
