And are equally committed to creating a healthier environment and planet through our sustainability efforts.Job Summary:In this role you will be responsible for end to end execution of short term and long term production planning, material planning, and capacity management to satisfy customer expectations. This role serves as a critical input to the site and global SIOE and SIOP processes as well as managing site strategic metrics. This role will work closely with Site Operations, Commercial, and Customer Success to facilitate market objectives. This role is expected to analyze performance results and develop corrective actions to further continuous improvement objectives while upholding West's standards for Safety, Quality, and Operational Excellence.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Manage master schedules in alignment with customer orders and sales forecastsConduct capacity analysis to optimize workloads and customer lead timesSupport Global strategic initiativesAnalyze production performance and collaborate with site operations to address areas in need of continuous improvementManage fulfillment strategies and collaborate with Global Supply Planning to optimize service levelsExecute planning process improvement initiatives in coordination with Global Supply Chain Center of ExcellenceExecute planning strategies to facilitate inventory management and customer service expectationsEscalate risks to relevant site and global functionsParticipate in site business reviews as well as Global programs such as SIOE and SIOP processesDevelop business continuity strategies locally along with global partnerships with other sites in the West networkPartner with Global Critical Materials Management to ensure schedule executionSupport Global Capacity Strat planning as well as new business integrationManage and develop team members primarily but not limited to production planners, production schedulers, and material plannersSupport plant operations outside traditional work hours while the site is running productionComply with the company's safety policy at all timesComply with the company's quality policy at all timesComply with the SOPs, as per Company policy, as relevant to the position covered by this Job DescriptionOther duties as assignedBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or relevant field5-10 years of experience in production planning using advanced MRP system within a manufacturing environmentExperience with SAP requiredAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointAbility to process raw data and present as supportive informationPreferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Experience as direct manager of 3 or more team membersMasters Degree in Business Administration or Supply ChainAdvanced knowledge of MRP softwareAdvanced understanding of MRP master data (i.e., BOMs, routings, MOQ, lead time)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsDetail oriented with exceptional time management and multi-tasking abilityProven ability to develop reports and analyze dataKnowledge of Lean / Continuous Improvement methodologiesTravel Requirements:Less than 5% of the timePhysical & Mental Requirements:Must maintain the ability to work well with others in a variety of situationsMust be able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve, and prioritizeMust be able to maintain confidentiality and resolve conflictsAbility to make independent and sound judgmentsRead and interpret data, information, and documentsAnalyze and solve problemsObserve and interpret situationsWork under deadlines with shifting prioritiesWest is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
