You can be part of that success story.Job purposeReporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, the Sr Supply Chain Planning Team Lead will uphold safe work behaviors while leading and developing the site's supply chain planning team and activities. This includes contributions to both long-term production planning strategy as part of the business's S&OP/IBP process as well as delivery of short-term schedules to production via site's S&OE process.The planning team is responsible for producing and maintaining executable production schedules which ensure proper material requirements and capture optimal resource utilization and product flow.This position is responsible delivering plans that fulfil OTIF targets while maximizing inventory turns of high value working capital by efficiently balancing resource availability against commercial demands in a high mix environment with both high and low volume product lines. Capturing business value through the applying and effectively managing the appropriate MTO, MTS and MTF strategies for the site's various product lines will be a key to success.Additional responsibilities include ownership of MRP planning parameters for proper material planning and accurate processing times in the site's scheduling software (Orchestrate).Contributions to the S&OP/IBP process include maintenance and refinement of supply and demand models which should include an effectively translation and presentation of commercially provided forecasts against projected plant capacities. Candidates should expect to pursue regular cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate capture of production capacities, evaluation of labor and equipment resource requirements, forecasted demand interpretation, assessment, and presentation, and capture of engineering and/or facilities projects which may interrupt and/or expand capacity due to maintenance and CapEx implementation.The incumbent will as primary backup to Supply Chain Planners responsible for product line specific planning activities as well as an occasional delegate for the Supply Chain Manager as appropriate.Principle accountabilitiesAct as lead planning liaison to coordinate and balance priorities between sales, production, sourcing, engineering, quality and financeGuide and develop supply chain planning team to ensure functional and achievable plans and schedules are established to fulfil demand requirementsAssemble, maintain and update capacity models for supply monitoringInterpret forecasted demand signals to regularly assess capacity constraints or availability and recommend resourcing adjustments to support requirements as part of the site's monthly S&OP/IBP processStrategize and present recommended plans for addressing gaps in utilizationEnsure MRP (KBM) data accuracy to support materials planningOversee and balance new material requests for timely and efficient supplyMonitor and update cycle time updates in scheduling software (Orchestrate)Support strategic supply chain and operational CI efforts and initiativesAssess and contribute to meeting customer lead time expectationsCollaborate with sales and production to resolve conflicting prioritiesIdentify idle and obsolete PNs in support of effective inventory managementEnsure inventory turns are optimized in support of profitable operationsAbility to identify, recommend and lead supply chain improvement projectsContribute to NPI by providing advising lead times and planning requirementsSupport annual fiscal site inventoryRequirements for the role:Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of Supply Chain and leadership experienceFamiliar experience with MRP planning systems, approach, and ability to learn newAdvanced Excel techniques and system skills for reporting contributionsAbility to work and to respond promptly to issues independentlyHow you will be rewarded:We offer competitive compensation and JM Elements benefits package including bonus, excellent pension contributions and 20 days annual leave (varies for shift- based roles).
