This role provides exposure to various aspects of supply chain management, including procurement activities, supplier relationship development, data analysis, and project support. Our goal is to give you a comprehensive understanding of how supply chain and procurement principles are applied in our industry. This position is a 6-month opportunity, June 2024-December 2024.Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):Assist in various supply chain activities, including procurement, contracts, pricing, and e-procurementAttend and contribute to supplier meetingsAssist in the development of company-wide guidelines, standards and policiesAssist in the development of a Supply Chain competency modelAssist in the standardization of job descriptions across the entire enterpriseDevelop a training curriculum in alignment with the competency modelReview and analyze supply chain data to help gain insights into savings potentialJob Specifications:Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple simultaneous projectsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with leaders, clients, and vendorsUtilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills in various procurement areasFlexibility and adaptability in completing various tasksEagerness to learn and contribute to the success of our Supply Chain teamsAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented environmentRequired Education and Experience:Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program, working towards a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business with a background in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent technical fieldMinimum of 2 years of coursework completed in Supply Chain Management, Business with a focus on Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical fieldWork Environment:This is an in-office position.Position Type:This is a regular, full-time position with the understanding that a regular workweek will require extended days and hours as needed to meet business needs.Travel:No travel is expected for this position.Physical Demands:OFFICEThe physical demands described here are representative of those performed in the job duties.
