Job Description:
OverviewFulltime - Remote. The Supply Chain Program Manager develops, transitions, and/or oversees key supply chain strategic initiatives in alignment with organizational strategies and vision. The programs are designed to either assist affiliate integration, optimize current operations, plan for emerging strategic needs, and/or track compliance. Supply Chain programs will include education and training, business development and marketing, regulatory compliance, emergency preparedness, and emerging strategic response. Manage a variety of projects and which support the system supply chain division, including developing financial plans and analysis reporting with the business units and service lines. Ongoing evaluation and reporting of results to senior leadership and executives.Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and takes primary responsibility to provide analytical support and business analysis for Programs as identified and directed by Supply Chain Leadership
  • Coordinates work with Supply Chain and other team members to determine the impact of Programs on operating budgets, capital budgets, and the Supply Chain Strategic Plan. Summarize and present findings to Senior Management as required.
  • Interacts with and influences staff throughout DHH and affiliates to gather input, test assumptions, and review findings for Programs. Ensures that all affected departments and Clinic sections are represented in discussions and decisions. Promotes an understanding of the financial and organizational impact of each Program among Supply Chain Leadership team members.
  • Acts as a resource and business advisor for Supply Chain leadership. Enhances business acumen in Supply Chain business lines and foster an understanding of functional knowledge by providing educational presentations as necessary to the supply chain leadership related to specific Programs.
  • Programs may include:
  • Supply Chain Outreach: Work with System members and affiliates in adhering to system goals and leveraging system resources to achieve operational, financial and service improvements
  • Help to extend System Supply Chain capabilities to the D-HH community.
  • Work with internal web team to design, maintain, and populate the internal Supply Chain Website with useful, timely information and links.
  • Works with internal web design to establish an external facing supplier portal for links and communication to D-HH polices.
  • Assists to develop material used to extend our supply chain into the communities we serve.
  • Develops communication mechanisms for assessing customer service and supply chain performance and marketing these results to the D-HH community.
  • Supply Chain Emerging Strategies: Supports and manages programs that deliver value through innovation and maintain a leadership position for the D-HH Supply Chain
  • Supports process and technology design and innovation that provide D-HH strategic advantage.
  • Supports and monitors a Supplier Diversity program ensuring D-HH supports suppliers supporting diversity of staff, sustainability of product and processes, and innovation in trading relationships.
  • Develops and assists the contracts and strategic sourcing manager with vendor compliance through a tiered scorecard system.
  • Capital Planning: Ensures effective use of System resources through the development and maintenance of a capital plan that leverages system contracting and buying leverage
  • Works with internal stakeholders to create and effectively manage a comprehensive capital master plan across all system members, NEAH and NPC for a rolling 5 year period.
  • Helps to develop a dynamic sourcing and procurement process.
  • Manages an effective tracking process that provides actionable data.
  • Interfaces with departments to optimize data driven sourcing and procurement activities.
  • Effectively manages external stakeholder relationships to optimize the patient experience by having products available at the appropriate time and location.
  • Works with benchmarking software to ensure best price is utilized.
  • Works closely with Facilities in supporting a comprehensive and cohesive capital plan related to building
  • Actively promotes more effective and efficient use of D-HH resources while maintaining best practice clinical care delivery.
  • Regulatory, Compliance, Pandemic: Supports Supply Chain compliance and coordinates Supply Chain's response to emergent situations.
  • Supply Chain Liaison for FDA, Joint Commission, Department of Health
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable policies.
  • Leads Supply Chain Audit Program.
  • Prepares response to regulatory requirements.
  • Develops, and transitions new policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the Pandemic and Infectious disease operational plan for Supply Chain.
  • Works with emergency management / safety department to communicate, inventory, and communicate Supply Chain readiness.
  • Coordinates with manufacturers, vendors and regional hospitals or partners to ensure a consistent program for availability of equipment, supplies, and PPE.
  • Chairs Recalls, Alerts, Substitutions, and Hazards (RASH) Committee.
  • Designs communication platform for alerts.
  • Works with procurement to identify and communicate needs.
  • Interfaces with Clinical Resource Utilization Team to create the conversion packet to go to the clinical staff.
  • Supply Chain Education and Training
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience required.
    • Two years' experience in a lead, supervisory role required.
    • Experience with infection control, materials management, staff motivation, regulatory standards in a hospital setting.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to lead a team and resolve conflicts
    • Demonstrated ability to participate in a group consensus-building process with physicians, management, and staff within an organization.
    • Enterprise resource planning software familiarity and skill required.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
    • Significant ability to influence senior corporate management.
    • Ability to effect and influence change agents.
