Our client, a Global Medical Device Manufacture has an immediate opening for a Supply Planning Coordinator for a 18 Month Contract. Coordinates communication activities with Legacy Service Parts Suppliers or original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Service Suppliers to meet customer demand. Develops and maintains necessary records and files for efficient operation. Tracks all shipments from their Suppliers and conducts checks against orders. Job consists of 70% strategic procurement and 10% Project Analytics 20% tactical responsibilities.Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)Procuring Legacy Service/OEM products at the lowest cost while maintaining quality and urgency of need.Coordinating communication activities with Legacy Service Parts Suppliers or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Service Suppliers to meet customer demand.Developing and maintaining necessary records and files for efficient operations.Tracking all shipments from suppliers and conducting checks against orders.Using systems knowledge to issue suggested purchase orders based on MRP system suggestions and customer demand.Requesting changes to purchase order dates from suppliers in alignment with MRP system suggestions and demand changes.Updating the MRP system to ensure clear communication of expected service parts inventory.Monitoring open purchase orders and ensuring on-time receipt.Issuing purchase orders to support engineering changes.Updating internal stakeholders on the status and direction of business activities daily or as required.Updating internal customers on key service parts supply issues and driving them to resolution.Coordinating engineering changes between internal customers and suppliers.Updating purchase orders as needed.Managing suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and product availability.Challenging supplier price increase requests and escalating unresolved issues as necessary.Serving as the single point of contact for suppliers regarding SCR/Change Order tracking and prioritization.Holding suppliers accountable to the agreed shipment plan.Updating the business and internal teams on critical supply chain matters and resolutions.RequirementsUndergraduate degree in Business or a related discipline.0-2 years of procurement or related work experience.Strong organizational and communication skills.PC literacy and proficiency with common office equipment.Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.Ability to exert up to 10 lbs. of force and occasionally up to 20 lbs.Visual and auditory discrimination and memory skills.2 years of experience in Service/OEM aftermarket purchasing and/or planning, is preferredFunctional skills in MRP, supplier management, and purchasing systems/procedures, is preferred.
