Job Description:

A global trading & business development corporation is actively seeking a Supply Chain Specialist who can oversee logistics and distribution, at their North Carolina office around Greensboro, NC. The right candidate will have an excellent problem-solving mindset and rigorous attention to detail, staying organized as they manage a large network of suppliers and distributors. They will have a deep understanding of the supply chain and related tools that streamline transportation and inventory maintenance. We also want a strong communicator with a desire for innovation and transformation. 2+ years Automotive Manufacturing industry related experience is required. This is a full-time / exempt position with a great benefit package.

Responsibilities of this Supply Chain Specialist / Account Manager role:

  • Monitor and analyze inventory
  • Coordinate shipping logistics
  • Ensure accurate documentation
  • Prepare reports on supply chain performance
  • Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and customers
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Recognize customers' requirements, provide logistics services to match customers' needs
  • Negotiate cost, timeline, technical specification, etc., and provide consultation as needed.
  • Take an immediate action for the customers' requests, such as repairing products, instructing customers in proper use and maintenance of products.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with timely deliveries
  • Protect brand image and reliability
  • Foster growth-friendly supply chain practices

Skills and qualifications of this Supply Chain Specialist role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, International Business, or related field
  • 2+ years work experience in the Automotive Manufacturing industry
  • 2+ years work experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Excellent MS Excel skills incl. VLOOKUP
  • Familiar with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software like Oracle and Sage
  • Strong analytical skills
  • High level of organization
  • Excellent problem-solving mindset
  • Rigorous attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Flexible and be able to work under a multicultural environment
