Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager in the Lacey/Olympia, WA area for a food manufacturing company

Salary:$70-80k+15% bonus

Relocation: SMALL package for a candidate who can drive in for an onsite interview.

Schedule:1st shift

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Production in developing and implementing short- and long-term production goals.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements and ensure departmental procedures align with company-wide strategic objectives.
  • Participate in budget planning and write letters of justification for departmental expenditures.
  • Manage and lead assigned personnel to achieve optimal performance through goal setting, delegation, and communication.
  • Train, advise, and counsel employees on job functions and plant control methods.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and assist with hiring, terminations, wage decisions, and promotions.
  • Develop and manage daily, weekly, and period production forecasts and schedules.
  • Coordinate raw material orders to ensure availability and maintain inventory at optimal levels.
  • Monitor inventory rotation to minimize waste and ensure FIFO.
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of effective warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Ensure warehouse shipments and deliveries are processed efficiently and resolve issues related to damaged or incorrect orders.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels and adhere to safety and quality standards.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with vendors, suppliers, and shippers.
  • Act as the liaison between the company and external contacts to ensure smooth coordination of delivery services.
  • Prepare detailed reports based on data and historical trends to assist in fiscal planning.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with production, customer service, receiving, and inventory teams.
  • Implement and maintain plant reports and scorecards to keep management informed of operational status.

Qualifications:

  • Degree Preferred not required
  • SQF and GMP certification preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of demand planning processes and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Access) for data analysis and trend identification.
  • Strong understanding of raw material and finished goods products.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.
