Overview

CAES is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist for its Missiles Systems business unit. The successful candidate will support the daily operations of the supply chain department, managing documentation requirements, assisting with MRP data maintenance and integrity, expediting orders, and facilitating improvement projects as required. This individual must be highly organized and detail-oriented, possess a strong ability to multitask, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The Supply Chain Specialist will work collaboratively across teams to support various supply chain activities and projects. A person applying for this role may have experience in administration and/ or supply chain. This position is located in San Jose, CA, however, we cannot provide relocation for this role.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Process improvement: assist in the identification and implementation of process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Cross-functional support: collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management, to support various supply chain activities and projects.
  • Compliance and audits: ensure all supply chain activities comply with company policies and industry regulations. Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
  • Documentation management: prepare, maintain, and organize all supply chain documentation, including purchase orders, production orders, supplier and compliance documentation, and other related materials.
  • System maintenance: support the maintenance of supply chain software systems by ensuring data accuracy, performing system cleanups, and troubleshooting basic issues.
  • Order expediting: coordinate with suppliers, internal teams, and logistics providers to track orders, expedite shipments, and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Data cleanup and reporting: regularly review and clean up supply chain ERP data to ensure accuracy in reporting and analysis. Generate and distribute reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Vendor communication: liaise with vendors to ensure proper documentation, timely deliveries, and to resolve any issues related to orders.

Salary Range: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour (level II). Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or related administrative role.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a US Person under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license)

Preferred:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Experience with supply chain management software or ERP system is a plus, SAP experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
