Key Responsibilities:
- Shipment Coordination: Manage multi-modal shipments, including preparing shipping documentation for domestic and international shipments.
- Batch Selection and Re-Order Monitoring: Select batches for assigned sites and monitor inventory levels with contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) to maintain adequate supply levels.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and address discrepancies in global shipments, coordinating with suppliers and stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
- Material Disposal and Sample Shipment: Oversee material disposals and manage sample shipments, ensuring all processes are compliant with regulations.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate data records in logistics systems (Oracle, SAP), sharing best practices and providing guidance on data accuracy.
- Shipment Tracking and Documentation: Track shipments to support supply chain activities, including customs invoice accuracy, import documentation, and master production schedule adherence.
- Supply Chain Analysis and Recommendations: Review shipment data to make recommendations on supply sources, product handling, and other logistics processes.
- Inventory and Replenishment Management: Process requests for inventory adjustments, including shipments, invoicing, and stock movement, reflecting all changes in the system.
- Schedule Adjustment and Communication: Track progress of shipments, adjust schedules as needed, and communicate any changes based on production status, availability, or other impacting factors.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with other departments to identify future business needs and potential logistics improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) and 2+ years of relevant experience in supply chain logistics, transportation, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently on assignments ranging from routine to moderately complex.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and manufacturing/production operations.
- Ability to develop solutions to moderately non-routine problems with limited guidance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of supply chain logistics, transportation, trade compliance, and FDA/customs regulations.
- APICS certification or relevant coursework in supply chain management.
- Experience with Oracle and/or SAP systems.
- Knowledge of cold chain logistics and pharmaceutical shipping requirements.
