Salary : $31,200.00 AnnuallyLocation : GA 31201, GAJob Type: Full TimeJob Number: 202400193Department: SheriffOpening Date: 12/20/2024Closing Date: 1/6/2025 5:00 PM EasternSummary Under general supervision of Corrections Division, the Supply Clerk is responsible for the ordering, receiving, storing, maintaining and issuing of supplies and minor equipment inventory for the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform inventory control on inmate supplies, cleaning supplies and paper goods for Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
- Submit orders as needed to maintain adequate stock of supplies at all times.
- Receive, supervise the unloading of and log deliveries from vendors.
- Process written and verbal requests for supplies and fill orders promptly.
- Deliver requested items to various locations within the Bibb County LEC as needed.
- Maintain computerized inventory records.
- Prepare work schedules for bailiffs assigned to Supply.
- Coordinate timely completion and submission of timesheets of bailiffs assigned to Supply.
- Perform additional duties as directed.
Education, Training and Experience The Supply Clerk should possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or GED; one (1) year of experience in receiving, issuing and maintaining supply inventory; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Possession of a Valid Georgia Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
- Must be fingerprinted, pass a polygraph test and pass a background investigation
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and techniques of warehouse work and inventory control procedures.
- Knowledge of correctional supplies and equipment as it relates to their types, source and uses.
- Knowledge of personal computers and relevant programs.
- Ability to use or learn to use a computer for inventory control.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to complete written inventory list and related forms
