Job descriptionNewrest is looking for a Warehouse Operator to unload merchandise from incoming freight and moves it to the appropriate location in the production and storage areas. This individual ensures equipment is charged, properly maintained, and keeps the work area clean and organized.MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK ANY SCHEDULE BASED UPON OPERATIONAL NEEDS, INCLUDING OVERNIGHT SHIFTS***Pay: $16.00 per hourESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Load, unload, sort, and move shipments by hand or by use of material handling equipment.Accurately and safely unload trucks.Complete receiving documentation.Move goods to appropriate storage areas in a safe manner.Perform regular counts of stored materials.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping area, loading dock, and trash areas.Complete daily quality logs.Work closely with the production department to ensure proper stock and inventory of needed materials.Ensure all equipment is maintained and inspected according to operating procedures.Adhere to shipping policies/procedures and regulatory compliance procedures.Report potential hazards and unsafe work conditions to team lead, lead hand, or manager.Regular and timely attendance is expected for this position.Perform other duties as assigned.
