Newrest is looking for an individual to unload merchandise from incoming freight and moves it to the appropriate location in the production and storage areas. This individual ensures equipment is charged, properly maintained, and keeps the work area clean and organized.**THIS POSITION IS PAID ON A BIWEEKLY BASIS. FREE LUNCH EVERY DAY**Salary: $17.00 per hour***MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK ANY SCHEDULE BASED ON OPERATIONAL NEEDS, INCLUDING OVERNIGHT SHIFTS***ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Manage the start-up procedures - unlocking and pre-start checks on all operational equipment.Resource planning to maximize efficiency and ensure operational success.Manage the daily shift work plan. Manage and organize daily order picking requirements.Monitor accuracy and organization during unloading/inspection of allinbound goods/returned product.Supervise picking and checking process for accuracy and to ensurecustomers orders are fulfilled.Build and maintain relationships with key internal customers.Daily liaison with production, Pick and Pack and Transportation department.Full adherence to health and safety policy and procedures.Assist in employee training, development, and engagement.Load, unload, sort, and move shipments by hand or by use of material handling equipment.Accurately and safely unload trucks.Complete receiving documentation.Move goods to appropriate storage areas in a safe manner.Perform regular counts of stored materials.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping area, loading dock, and trash areas.Complete daily quality logs.Work closely with the production department to ensure proper stock and inventory of needed materials.Ensure all equipment is maintained and inspected according to operating procedures.Adhere to shipping policies/procedures and regulatory compliance procedures.Report potential hazards and unsafe work conditions to team lead, lead hand, or manager.Regular and timely attendance is expected for this position.Perform other duties as assigned.
