Receives supplies and equipment from deliveries, performs quality and quantity checks on new supplies, and complete supply requisitions and issues supplies. Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines. Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety. Conducts four cycle Quality Checks on state assigned equipment. Receives, stores, tags and tracks surplus property, and prepare documents for unserviceable or damaged items. Assist with periodic and annual inventories. Issue cadets clothing and materials for each cycle, to include all dormitory essential needs and supplies. Conducts direct exchange for cadets throughout cycle when initial issue is worn out or unserviceable. Assists DFAC supervisor with requisitioning of supplies for dining facility. Responsible for general upkeep and cleaning of supply room and restocking shelves. Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law. Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention. Monitor compliance to policies and laws. Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions. Assist with investigation of accidents or incidents to discover causes as needed. Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures. Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics. Attend necessary and required meetings. Produce reports and develop relevant policies. Perform inspections on a monthly basis and other job duties as assigned by supervisor or Director/Deputy Director. Minimum and Additional Requirements A high school diploma and 2 years of relevant experience in safety management and supply. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of experience working in safety management and supply. Additional Comments Knowledge of agency policies, procedures, regulations and program services. Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations related to administrative function. Must have excellent attention to detail to identify hazards. Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines. Ability to coordinate diverse administrative functions. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to communicate effectively, written and orally. Ability to explore opportunities to add value to the position. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a high demand job. Must obtain people skills and the ability to work as a team.
