Job ResponsibilitiesAbout Coastal Regional Center Coastal Regional Center is a residential facility of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs located in Summerville, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Under general supervision of the Supply Specialist III. Ability to work independently, make decisions, have initiative, and able to solve problems. 1. Maintains warehouse and all the physical procurement of food and supplies. Checks, stores, and unloads all medical and food supplies. 2. Identify the proper quantities for all medical and food orders on a weekly basis. 3. Oversees the SDS Sheets (Safety Data Sheets) for all chemicals used in housekeeping and dietary. 4. Ensures items for all departments are received promptly and accurately. 5. Assist with the Coastal Center Surplus Program. Items that are obsolete will be disposed of through the SCEIS System. Maintain inventories for food, supplements, and medical supplies. 6. Assists with other job duties as needed. Completes required training. Minimum and Additional Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Basic knowledge of food service sanitation requirements in public health. Valid drivers license required. Knowledge of safety practices relevant to area of employment. Skill in the operation and maintenance of motor vehicles. Ability to perform manual work requiring good physical condition (able to lift 50 pounds). Knowledge of supply practices and procedures. Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to accurately maintain supply or inventory control records. Ability to communicate effectively.
