Job Description:
TSS is seeking a Supply Technician. This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Working knowledge of methods, practices, and equipment used in receiving, storing, packing, and shipping materials and supplies. General knowledge of methods of taking inventories and maintaining inventory records.Security Clearance: Top SecretESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-- Oversee stock maintenance at or within prescribed levels and establish or adjust stocklevels and reorder points using standard formulae and prescribed procedures;-- Conduct physical inventories and adjust and/or maintain inventory, stock, plant, orproperty account records; -- Receive and screen lists or other documents specifying supplies or materials needed forplanned programs or work operations, and collate and assemble lists of equipment andparts needed for acquisition plans; -- Initiate, prepare, edit, and process requisitions to stock, commodity control, or otherappropriate supply organizations; -- Search catalogs, records, or other data sources to obtain or correct stock numbers or tofind authorized substitutes for stock items; -- Contact customers, supply organizations, transportation units, and others to obtainmaterial status information, follow up on urgently required items, and/or expeditedelivery of material to work sites; -- Process documentation for stock item receipts, maintain such items in a supply room orsimilar storage area, issue material to shop or work center personnel, keep local stockrecords, reorder when stocks are low or at a specified reorder point, prepare standardreports such as variances between actual and estimated costs, and perform related stockreceipt, storage, control, and issue functions for expendable and non-expendable itemsfor a local organization; -- Identify requirements and requisition, issue, or distribute office and administrativesupplies, forms, publications, or other printed materials; -- Maintain an accurate accounting and reporting system for non-expendable property andperform standardized property management control processes; and/or -- Operate computer terminals or personal computers to perform records search, data input,and data corrections.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to work in a Warehouse/Office workspaceSome lifting of objects under 50 lbsHigh school graduate or equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years of supply functions, either in the military services or in commercial applications is requiredMust be able to work in group or team environments of over 5-10 membersMust have experience with automated warehouse tracking systemsProficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory logging softwareATTRIBUTES:Communicator: You possess strong communication skills and enjoy working with customers.Team Oriented: You can embrace the ideas of others (even if they conflict with your own) for the sake of the company and clientSelf-motivated: You can work with a minimum of supervision and be capable of strategically prioritizing multiple tasks in a proactive mannerPassionate: You must be passionate about collaborationAnalytical: You can analyze problems and offer alternative solutions, while thinking outside of the box
